Boston-based group On Broken Wings (For fans of Converge, Glassjaw, Every Time I Die) formed in early 2001 to create a mood of hostility and despair with their self-labeled brand of “mosh-metal.” Their current lineup includes Jonathan (vocals), Mike (Guitar/Programing), Burke (Guitar), Rob (Bass), and Kevin (Drums). What sets OBW apart from the pack is the atmosphere which haunts each song, punctuated by vocalist Jonathan’s range. In one moment, Jonathan is the growling demon in your head, while in the next he is showing off his surprisingly sensitive singing voice.
The band have spent years making a name for themselves on the road with their chaotic live show, and still blow away the competition with their soul-crushing heaviness. The band have shared the stage with Killswitch Engage, The Black Dahlia Murder, Between The Buried and Me, The Acacia Strain and took part of Jamboree and New England Metal/Hardcore Festival.
On Broken Wings self-released their EP “Number One Beautiful’ that quickly caught the attention of fans and labels. They soon released two full-length albums ‘Some of us May Never See the World (2003), It’s All a Long Goodbye (2005), and EP ‘Going Down’ (2007). Fast forward to 2016, On Broken Wings welcomes a new full-length album ‘Disintegrator’ via Artery Recordings on August 19th worldwide. The album was produced by band guitarist Mike McMillen and mastered by Nick Zampiello (The Red Chord, ISIS).
